A well-established fire safety consultancy in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to join the team and work across a varied portfolio in Glasgow and Central Scotland. The role offers greater project exposure, technical development, and progression within a supportive consultancy environment.
The Fire Engineer will be involved throughout design and construction, providing practical and technically sound fire safety advice.
Qualifications
- Degree in Fire Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of UK and Scottish fire safety guidance and Building Standards.
- Experience producing fire strategies or similar outputs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review fire strategies for diverse projects.
- Conduct site inspections and technical assessments.
- Advise on means of escape, compartmentation and fire resistance.
- Review architectural drawings and construction information.
- Apply relevant UK/Scottish guidance and standards.
- Liaise with architects, contractors, developers and design teams.
- Produce clear technical reports and recommendations.
- Support projects from early design through to completion.
