Salary Range:£35,235 - £37,035 per annum, plus Market Supplement of£3,500 per annum may be available upon reaching certain development milestones

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the specialist Fire Engineering and Consultations Team (FECT) within a high-performing Local Authority Fire and Rescue Service.

You will be responsible for advising on the adequacy of fire safety measures in a wide range of new-build and renovation projects across Hampshire & Isle of Wight, as well as assisting Protection Delivery in undertaking fire safety audits in complex premises. Your involvement will help to ensure public safety throughout Hampshire & Isle of Wight and will assist firefighters in undertaking their duties safety.Further information on the job activities and expectations can be reviewed as part of the associated job description.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to at least Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety with previous experience in a fire safety related role. They will be a team player with proven interpersonal skills, able to both impart and assimilate new knowledge, and have a desire for constant self-improvement. Membership with the Institution of Fire Engineers will be an advantage, as will registration with the UK Engineering Council at EngTech grade.
