Job summary

Brandon James is seeking a Fire Door Surveyor in London to join a specialist fire safety consultancy. You will carry out comprehensive fire door inspections across properties in London, identify defects and ensure compliance with BS standards and UK fire safety legislation.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years' experience in fire door surveying, strong report writing skills and the ability to manage workloads both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in fire door surveying, inspection or a closely related role.
• Strong knowledge of fire door construction, components and compliance requirements.
• Relevant fire door inspection qualifications, such as FDIS, BRE or equivalent (desirable).
• Good understanding of current UK fire safety legislation and standards.
• Confidence working independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication, organisational and attention-to-detail skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducting detailed fire door surveys and inspections
• Assessing fire doors against relevant regulations, including BS 8214 and BS 476
• Identifying defects, non-compliance and remedial requirements
• Producing accurate inspection reports with clear recommendations

An established and growing fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Door Surveyor to join their team in London. The company provides specialist fire safety advice, inspections and compliance services, supporting clients in maintaining safe buildings and meeting their legal obligations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Door Surveyor with at least 2 years' experience who is confident managing their own workload, conducting detailed inspections independently and collaborating with a wider team of fire safety professionals.

The Fire Door Surveyor's Role

The successful Fire Door Surveyor will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive fire door inspections across a range of properties throughout London, identifying defects and ensuring compliance with relevant fire safety legislation and British Standards.

• Conducting detailed fire door surveys and inspections
