Job description

Job Title: Fire Door Joiner Supervisor - Social Housing
Location: North West England
Salary: 41,000 per annum + Van and Fuel Card
Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Passive Fire Supervisor to oversee the team of fire door joiners across the North West with flexibility to travel beyond this when required. This is a permanent position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the team of joiners
  • Manage a team of operatives, contractors, and external suppliers, ensuring that work is carried out on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and manage the quality of work, ensuring it meets our standards and complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and respond to queries from tenants and other stakeholders.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment for staff and contractors, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Be primary point of contact for all site-based passive fire joinery activities.
  • Monitor materials usage and manage site waste in accordance with environmental and company policies.
  • Provide accurate reporting and feedback on project progress, site conditions, and any technical challenges

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in supervising within the social housing sector or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Fire safety and legislation
  • Excellent supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Ability to manage budgets, track costs, and ensure work is completed within financial targets.
  • Knowledge of housing regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • IT literate and able to use relevant software and systems to monitor performance and progress.

Requirements:

  • SSSTS
  • Experience with procurement processes and managing external contractors.
  • Full UK driving license
  • Flexibility in travel
