Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Fire Door Joiner/Carpenter to join our facilities management client on a permanent basis. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire doors to meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.

This position covers sites across the North West and Yorkshire with core hours Monday to Friday (40 hours/week). A competitive salary, van and fuel card, and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent qualification (essential).
• FIRAS, BM Trada, or similar certification (essential).
• Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance standards.
• A full UK driving license (essential).

Responsibilities

• Installation of fire-rated doors and door sets to high standards.
• Remedial works on existing fire doors to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
• Conduct fire door surveys and inspections, identifying and addressing defects.
• Ensure all work meets BS 8214 and other relevant fire safety regulations.
• Collaborate with site teams, clients, and project managers to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work completed.
