An established industry player is seeking skilled Fire Door Joiners to join their team in Knowsley. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including repairing and renewing roofing trusses, doors, and kitchen units, as well as maintaining vehicle stock. The ideal candidate will have completed a recognized apprenticeship and possess NVQ qualifications, with experience in joinery, particularly within social housing environments. Job description

PPM Recruitment are currently on the lookout for Fire Door Joiners around Knowsley.

Responsibilities for this FRA Joiner role are:

1. Repair/ renew/ fit roofing trusses for traditional, hips and valleys and repair/ renew/ fit soffits fascia and barge boards.
2. Repair/ renew ceiling and floor joists, stairs, stud work and partition walls.
3. T and G or sheet flooring.
4. Repair/ renew doors and door casing, skirting, handrails, balustrades, pipe boards and ducting panelling.
5. Repair/ renew kitchen units, work tops and decorative finishes.
6. Repair/ replace/ fit ironmongery to doors and windows.
7. Repair/ renew timber and UPVC window frames.
8. Deglaze/ reglaze timber fencing and gates.
9. Maintain and replenish vehicle impress stock.

What we are looking for in our ideal FRA Joiner:

1. Must have served a recognised Apprenticeship and qualification (NVQ L2/L3).
2. Experience of working as a Joiner with any experience gained within a social housing environment would be advantageous.
3. Competent in all aspects of joinery trade discipline and with experience of maintenance work on domestic and commercial properties, including high rise blocks for general repairs and refurbishments.
4. A background of general joinery and carpentry work and be able to work in confined spaces.
5. A current driving licence is essential.
6. Skilled workers will hold a CSCS card, have asbestos awareness and their own tools.
