Job description

To support our continued growth we are looking for a Fire Door Installers and Fire Stopping Installers to join our team.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

As a Fire Door Installer and Fire Stopping Installers, your responsibilities will include:

  • Installation of fire door sets
  • All aspects of fire door maintenance
  • Working on your own as well as part of a team, working closely with others to solve problems as and when they arise
  • Liaising with colleagues and managers on a daily basis
  • Carrying out fire door assessments and record findings
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to the manufacturer’s specifications, ensuring that compliance is always at the forefront of all works

Person Specification:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, experience, and attributes:

  • Previous experience working as a carpenter
  • Experience of working in the social housing/health/high street sector
  • Be able to communicate effectively and courteously with work colleagues
  • An understanding of the importance of compliant installation within the fire safety sector
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in joinery or other relevant trade, or equivalent level of competence obtained from on-the-job experience
  • A good awareness and understanding of Health & Safety on site
  • Ability to diagnose/problem solve
  • Previous trade experience
  • Reliable
  • CSCS Card (Desirable)
  • Full toolkit to carry out the works required
