Job summary

Checkmate Fire Solutions Ltd is seeking skilled Fire Door Joiners to join our expanding operations across North London. You will install, inspect, and maintain fire doors and frames, ensuring compliance with FIRAS/BM TRADA and related standards.

Applicants should have proven joinery experience with fire doors, strong regulations knowledge, and a valid UK driving licence. Ability to work independently and within a team, across multiple sites, is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as joiner/carpenter with fire door experience.
• Knowledge of fire door regulations and compliance standards.
• NVQ or City & Guilds in Carpentry/Joinery (preferred).
• FIRAS or BM TRADA accreditation (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade fire doors and frames to required standards.
• Carry out fire door inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with BM TRADA / FIRAS certification schemes.
• Accurately complete job reports and documentation.
• Work across multiple sites maintaining high workmanship standards.
• Liaise with site managers and clients professionally.
