Job summary

A leading company in the FM industry is seeking a Fire Door Fitter in Derby to ensure fire safety standards are met. The role includes installing and maintaining fire-rated doors, inspecting compliance, and documenting work. Candidates should have experience with fire doors and possess a DBS Basic and CSCS card. This temporary role pays £21-25 per hour and offers Monday to Friday working hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience fitting fire doors in a compliant manner.
• DBS Basic certification required.
• CSCS card needed for site work.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain fire-rated doors and associated hardware.
• Inspect existing fire doors for compliance with regulations.
• Document all work accurately including compliance reports.

Are you passionate about safety and compliance? A leading company in the FM industry is seeking a Fire Door Fitter in Derbyshire/ Leicestershire to ensure fire safety standards are met and maintained.

GBP21-25ph pad weekly via umbrella

Monday to Friday

Temporary

The main duties of a Fire Door Fitter are:

• Install and maintain fire-rated doors, door sets, and associated ironmongery (hinges, closers, seals).
• Inspect and assess existing fire doors for compliance with regulations (e.g., BS 8214, BS 476).
• Identify defects and carry out repairs or replacements where necessary.
• Record and document all work accurately, including photographic evidence and compliance reports.

As a Fire door fitter, you will need:

• Previous experience fitting fire doors ( fire door carpenter/ fire door installer/ FRA carpenter, Fire door joiner etc)
• Understanding of passive fire protection systems and UK fire regulations.
• DBS Basic required.
• CSCS card needed.
• Own vehicle and tools required.
