Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Fire Damper Engineer to join our West Midlands team. The role offers long-term stability, progression opportunities, and involvement across commercial and residential sites.

The ideal candidate will have strong fire damper testing knowledge, a full UK driving licence, and be willing to stay away from home for site works. Flexible day and twilight shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fire Damper Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of fire damper testing, inspection and remedial works.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to stay away overnight.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire dampers across commercial and residential sites.
• Carry out routine fire damper inspections per standards/regulations.
• Identify defects and carry out remedial works as required.
• Complete accurate service reports and document findings.
• Work across client sites in the West Midlands and surrounding areas.
• Maintain high health and safety standards while providing a professional service.
• Be flexible to work day and twilight shifts when required.
