Job summary

Britannia Fire and Security Ltd in Peterborough seeks a full-time Fire and Security Service Engineer to service and install fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control on customer sites.

You will perform routine maintenance, fault finding and minor installation projects, conduct site visits, test and commission systems, and complete documentation while ensuring safety and adherence to standards. A valid driver’s license and on-site client communication are required.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills on fire and security systems.
• Field service experience, including on-site visits and customer-facing work.
• Technical support capabilities, including system testing, commissioning, and diagnostics.
• Maintenance and repair skills for fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control equipment.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and management.
• Relevant industry training or certifications (e.g., fire and security systems, electrical or electronic engineering) are beneficial.
• Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations in fire and security is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites within the region.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload, and follow health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities
