Rate: 250 per day (Self-employed/Contractor)

Overview

A highly respected provider of fire and security solutions is seeking a skilled Fire and Security Service Engineer on a contract basis to support their operations across Devon. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced contractor with excellent industry knowledge to join a growing company and earn a competitive day rate.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and fault-finding on fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems
• Carrying out regular inspections, testing, and servicing of fire and security systems at customer sites
• Responding to emergency call-outs and providing technical support to customers
• Accurate completion of service reports and records
• Ensuring all work is compliant with relevant safety and quality standards
• Liaising directly with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Supporting other engineers as required, including troubleshooting and providing guidance
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in servicing fire and security systems (CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, fire alarms, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of relevant systems and manufacturers (e.g., Texecom, Galaxy, Paxton, Hikvision)
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., FIA, ECS, NSI, etc.)
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively
• Strong customer service and communication skills
