What are your key strengths?

  • Proficiency in servicing and maintaining intruder alarm systems, with some knowledge of broader electronic security systems such as CCTV, entry and access control systems, and fire alarms. (Experience in the wider product range would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards.
  • Able to diagnose and resolve technical issues with security systems, including identifying faults, conducting repairs, and restoring functionality in a timely manner.
  • Ability to recommend and implement system upgrades and enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and security in accordance with client requirements.
  • Monitoring alarm signals and alerts from customer sites, investigating any triggered alarms, and taking appropriate action to address potential security threats.

What does your usual day look like?

  • Conducting scheduled maintenance visits to inspect and service intruder alarm systems, including testing sensors, control panels, and communication devices.
  • Providing technical support and assistance to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all service activities, including maintenance visits, repairs, upgrades, and customer interactions, utilizing company software and databases.

Role Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Security Service Engineer, with knowledge of Intruder Alarm equipment, CCTV, Fire Alarm equipment, and Access Control.
  • You must hold a UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
