Alecto Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to cover Winchester and surrounding areas. This field-based role involves servicing, maintenance, fault finding and installation across commercial, residential and public sector sites.

You will work on fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control, travel across Winchester and surrounding areas, and complete accurate reports to uphold safety standards.

Fire & Security Engineer - Winchester & Surrounding Areas

Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 basic

An established and growing Fire and Security company is looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join their team, covering Winchester and the surrounding areas.

This is a varied field-based role working across commercial, residential and public sector sites. You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault finding and installation of a range of fire and security systems, with plenty of variety from day to day.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive works across Winchester and the surrounding areas, ensuring systems are maintained, fully operational and completed to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing, maintaining and installing fire and security systems
• Working on fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control
• Fault finding, testing and remedial works
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works
• Completing accurate service reports and relevant site documentation
• Liaising professionally with customers and site teams
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant industry standards
• Travelling across Winchester and the surrounding areas as required

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Fire & Security Engineer, Security Engineer or Fire Alarm Engineer and be confident working independently on site.

You should have:

• Proven experience within the Fire and Security industry
• Good knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and/or access control
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• A professional and customer-focused approach
• Good communication skills
• The ability to manage your own workload and work effectively as part of a team
• A full UK driving licence
