Job summary

Vertu FM in Scotland is seeking a Fire and Security Engineer to maintain Fire Alarm, CCTV, Intruder, and Access systems across the Central Belt and beyond. This permanent role involves mobile work with travel throughout the Central Belt and whole of Scotland, on a Monday–Friday schedule with standby duties.

You will join a growing team, upholding safety standards and delivering service within SLAs, with a competitive salary and benefits including a company car or van and 33 days leave.

Qualifications

• Candidates with 1+ years in fire and security considered; training provided.
• Willingness to travel across Central Belt and Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Fire Alarm / Emergency Lighting, CCTV, Intruder and Access maintenance.
• Represent the company professionally and build client relationships.
• Deliver maintenance works on site within SLA and agreed timescales.
• Liaise with Service Team to ensure timely delivery of works.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and safe systems of work.
• Work on a stand-by rota and attend corrective calls efficiently.
• Identify and resolve repair, maintenance and installation issues.
• Keep company vehicle clean and maintained.
• Comply with management instructions.

Due to expansion, they are looking to recruit a Fire and Security Engineer to join the team:

The Role:

• To undertake Fire Alarm / Emergency Lighting, CCTV, Intruder, and Access Maintenance, working within the Security and Fire team whilst operating in compliance with company policy and procedure.
• Representing the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and developing strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Delivery of CCTV, Intruder, Access and Fire Alarm / Emergency Lighting Maintenance works on site in compliance with the agreed Service Level Agreement and within agreed timescales.
• Liaison with the Service Team at all times striving to ensure that all works are delivered on time.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, HSE management systems, procedures or instructions as they apply and to ensure that all colleagues and sub-contractors follow safe systems of work on site.
• Working on a stand-by rota. Attending corrective calls efficiently.
• Identification and resolution of repair, maintenance and installation issues that may occur during service delivery.
• Ensuring company vehicle is kept clean, well maintained and serviced as required.
• Comply with any other reasonable management instruction.

The Person:

• You will have some levels of experience in the fire and security industry, however the business are open to candidates with 1 up to 20+ years as training is ongoing
• You will be happy with a mobile role involving travel throughout the Central Belt and whole of Scotland.
• You will have a fantastic attitude to work, be personable and ambitious

The Package:

• Starting salary of £39,076 inc Callout Standby Fee
