Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fire Alarm Technician working at our clients sites reporting to our office in Shefford, Bedfordshire. The Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and compliant with the latest British Standards and UK fire safety regulations. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, conducting routine tests, and providing technical support to clients. The technician will also be responsible for completing documentation accurately and delivering excellent customer service while adhering to safety protocols and company standards. The ideal candidate would also have fire extinguisher servicing certification.

Qualifications

• Low Voltage Engineering and Alarm Systems skills
• Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and fix system issues
• Knowledge of Life Safety systems
• Customer Service skills to interact professionally with clients
• Relevant certifications and training in fire alarm systems
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various sites
• Experience in the fire protection industry is essential
• Certificated to service fire alarm systems to BS5839
• Certificated to service fire extinguishers to BS5306 (Ideal but not essential)
