Job summary

SER Limited is recruiting a Fire Alarm Service & Maintenance Engineer to cover Sussex and the Gatwick area. You will service, maintain, and fault-find fire alarm systems across commercial sites, ensuring safety and compliance. A company van is provided with personal use and an attractive benefits package.

Salary ranges from £37,000 to £45,000 DOE, with overtime, standby, and travel time paid after the first 30 minutes. Relevant experience and a full UK driving licence are required.

The Role

As a Fire Alarm Service & Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on fire alarm systems across a variety of commercial sites throughout Sussex and the Gatwick area.

You'll be trusted to work independently, deal directly with customers and ensure systems are operating safely, reliably and in line with current industry standards.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing and rectifying faults
• Working across a range of systems, including Advanced, Morley, Kentec and Apollo
• Completing service reports and technical documentation
• Providing professional advice and recommendations to customers
• Building strong, long-term customer relationships
• Ensuring all work is completed to company and industry standards

You'll ideally have:

• Proven experience in fire alarm servicing and maintenance
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience with manufacturers such as Advanced, Morley, Kentec and Apollo
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• A professional and reliable approach
• A full UK driving licence
