Job summary

The Fire Alarm Service Engineer role is based in the Southeast/London area with mobile/onsite work. Salary ranges from £32k to £42k depending on experience, with overtime opportunities and a company vehicle, fuel card, and devices supplied.

You will deliver compliant service delivery, inspect and test fire alarm systems, and report deviations while maintaining documentation and health/safety standards. Ideal candidates have experience with conventional and analogue addressable fire detectors,

Qualifications

• Experience with Conventional Fire Detection Systems and Analogue Addressable Systems.
• Experience with Air Sampling Systems (Vesda / Wagner).
• Experience with Gas Suppression Systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of BS 5839-1 & 6:2025.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Service Inspections in line with company procedures and system requirements.
• Ensure high-quality Service Inspection work within agreed timescales.
• Identify issues, report deviations, and propose solutions.
• Complete site paperwork, expense forms, and timesheets accurately and on time.
• Promote health and safety on site for self, colleagues, and customers.
• Deliver excellent customer service and use of laptops for fire systems.
• Maintain broad knowledge of fire protection equipment and standards.
• Take responsibility and stay calm under pressure.
• Plan, multitask, and prioritize workload; communicate with customers.
