Job summary

RGB is recruiting an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to cover London. You will service, maintain and fault-find commercial fire alarm systems across London and the Home Counties, ensuring compliance with BS 5839 and delivering reliable fault resolution.

The role offers a £44,000–£48,000 basic salary, a 40-hour week with door-to-door travel, overtime, and a 1-in-5 call-out rota, plus a company van, equipment and pension, with ongoing training to develop your career.

Qualifications

• Commercial fire alarm servicing and fault-finding experience.
• Knowledge of conventional and addressable systems.
• Good working knowledge of BS 5839.
• Recognised fire alarm training and 18th Edition qualification.
• Strong basic electrical skills and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and fault-find commercial fire alarm systems.
• Complete repairs, remedial works, panel replacements and small modifications.
• Test and commission systems in line with BS 5839.
• Assist with electrical work as required.
• Produce accurate reports and identify further works.
• Carry out access control servicing and liaise with clients; participate in call-out rota.
