Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer for a permanent role. The position involves servicing, maintaining, and installing fire alarm systems, as well as supporting clients and being part of a 24-hour call-out rota. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the industry, knowledge of BS5839 regulations, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the Electronic Security and Fire Alarm Industry.
  • Working knowledge of BS5839 fire regulations.
  • FIA or BS5839 training would be a distinct advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of current standards and legislation applicable to fire alarms and electronic security systems.
  • On commencement of employment, provide evidence of all skills and competences.
  • Complete Security Screening in line with BS7858 and undertake an enhanced DBS check.

Overview

We are looking to recruit on behalf of our client, an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join their existing team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities
  • Service, maintenance, installations, fault finding, rectification and problem solving, commissioning, and documenting for a wide range of electronic security and fire alarm systems including emergency lighting.
  • Provide support to clients as required and service the company’s product portfolio for existing and new business.
  • Be available to cover a 24-hour call-out on a rota basis as part of the role.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the Electronic Security and Fire Alarm Industry.
  • Working knowledge of BS5839 fire regulations.
  • FIA or BS5839 training would be a distinct advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of current standards and legislation applicable to fire alarms and electronic security systems.
