Overview
Our client is a family-run company established in 1999, proudly serving clients across the UK with high-quality fire safety and life protection systems. They are growing and looking for an additional Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join their close-knit, experienced team. What You Will Be Doing
- Working alongside 3 experienced engineers covering areas including Southampton, London, Sussex, Devon, and Oxford
- Installation, service, maintenance, and fault-finding of:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Emergency Lighting
- Nurse Call Systems
- Access Control Systems (Note: We do not work on intruder alarm systems)
- Ensuring all systems are compliant and maintained to the highest safety standards
- Representing our company with professionalism and pride on client sites
Working Hours & Flexibility
- Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours/week)
- Start times may be earlier depending on client location — paid travel time and overtime apply
- Average weekly hours: approximately 48 hours
- On-call rota currently 1 in 3 weeks (likely moving to 1 in 4 as the team grows)
- Some weekend work required for scheduled servicing at specific client sites
- On-call allowance provided
What We are Looking For
- Proven experience working with fire alarm systems and related life safety systems
- Reliable, professional, and committed to doing the job right
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, tight-knit team
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight on occasion, when required
