Due to growth in our Integrated Security Systems business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Installation Project Engineer in our Fire & Security Systems division to cover the North of England. The position will be responsible for successfully installing fire alarms and integrated security systems while maintaining tight cost controls.

What you will be doing

1. Manage electronic security and fire systems installations.
2. Commission systems when required.
3. Verify equipment specifications at the pre-installation stage.
4. Develop and manage site-specific method statements and risk assessments, ensuring health and safety requirements are upheld.
5. Ensure compliance with technical auditing, quality specifications, and standards.
6. Ensure all installations meet legal regulations.
7. Liaise with customers and contractors at local/site levels.
8. Test, commission systems, and assist in producing O&M documentation.
9. Provide appropriate training to customers to maximize system effectiveness.

What we are looking for

• Experience in installing and commissioning fire and security systems, including projects over £100K.
• Intermediate IT skills, including MS Office and fire system-related software.
• Experience with IP CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm Systems.
• Knowledge of Gent by Honeywell, Vigilon, and Vigilon Voice products.
• Experience managing electrical contractors and subcontractors.
• Practical project management skills, including budgeting.
• Willingness to work varying hours and travel nationally.
• Valid driving license.
