Job summary

SER-IN is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to join our growing fire and security team in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will install conventional and addressable fire alarm systems across diverse sites, ensuring high standards and regulatory compliance.

You will read technical drawings, liaise with clients, and complete commissioning paperwork while maintaining safety and professionalism on site. A UK driving licence is essential, with ECS/CSCS preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience installing fire alarm systems including Gent and Advanced.
• Knowledge of BS5839 standards and fire safety regulations.
• Full UK driving licence is essential; ECS/CSCS preferred.
• IPAF and PASMA certificates are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Installation of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
• Installation of associated fire safety equipment including call points, detectors, sounders and interfaces.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and installation plans.
• Ensuring all work complies with BS5839 and relevant fire safety standards.
• Completing commissioning paperwork and installation documentation.
• Liaising with clients, site managers and project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to join a well-established and growing fire and security company. The Role

As a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing fire alarm systems to a high standard, ensuring all work complies with current industry regulations and customer specifications.
