JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Fire Alarm Installation and Commissioning Engineer for roles across the West Midlands, including Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton and Dudley. The role offers a basic salary of £38,000 to £43,000, plus overtime, travel expenses, a company vehicle and benefits.

You will install, test and commission fire detection, alarm, emergency lighting and suppression systems for commercial, industrial and residential clients.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and commissioning fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of BS 5839, BS 5266 and fire-safety regulations.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• FIA training and experience with integrated fire and life-safety systems would be advantageous.

Reporting to the engineering team, the Fire Alarm Installation and Commissioning Engineer will cover West Midlands postcodes, including Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton and Dudley. This permanent position carries a basic salary of £38,000 to £43,000, plus overtime, door-to-door travel expenses, a company vehicle and benefits. Duties include installing, testing and commissioning fire detection, alarm, emergency lighting and suppression systems for commercial, industrial and residential clients. Applicants should hold proven experience with leading fire-system technologies, strong fault-finding ability and a full UK driving licence. The role

You will be responsible for installing, testing and commissioning fire alarm, detection, emergency lighting and associated fire protection systems. You will also provide technical support, complete system handovers and ensure work meets current standards and client requirements.

• A sound understanding of electrical systems and site installation
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• A full UK driving licence
• An ECS or CSCS card, FIA training and experience with integrated fire and life-safety systems would be advantageous.
