Job summary

V7 Recruitment is seeking a Fire Alarm Estimator and Designer for Minor Projects in Essex (office-based). You will take projects up to £500k from tender through handover, reviewing drawings and producing quotations.

The role requires experience in fire alarm design and estimating, AutoCAD, CRM systems, and knowledge of major fire alarm brands. A competitive salary is offered plus benefits and training.

Qualifications

• Fire alarm design and estimating experience with FIA/Zuess or Level 3 BS 5839.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
• Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Good understanding of commercial estimating principles.
• Experience using estimating software and CRM systems.
• Knowledge of Gent, Notifier, Siemens, Advanced, C-Tec, Hochiki, Morley, Apollo or similar fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

Fire AlarmEstimator & Designer (Minor Projects)

Location: Essex (Office based)

Are you a Fire Alarm Designer and/or Estimator looking for your next opportunity?

We’re looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Fire Alarm Designer / Estimator to join the our clients Minor Projects team. This is a varied role where you’ll play an important part in taking projects up to £500k from the initial tender stage through to successful handover.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Reviewing tender drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Preparing detailed and accurate quotations for fire alarm installations, upgrades and maintenance projects.
• Producing design drawings, schematics, cause and effect matrices and equipment schedules.
• Attending pre-tender and site survey meetings where required.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• Experience in fire alarm system design and estimating, with FIA, Zuess, Level 3 or equivalent qualification in fire alarm design to BS 5839.
• Ability to confidently interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Good understanding of commercial estimating principles.
• Experience using estimating software and CRM systems.

Please note there isn't a company car or car allowance on offer as this is an office based role. We are looking for a candidate who is happy to commute to Essex on a daily basis. Any site visits will be attended to via train as they are all in Central London.
