Job summary

Trinity Fire & Security is seeking a experienced Small Works Engineer to install, commission, and support fire & security systems across commercial clients in the Oxfordshire region. You will deliver high-quality installations and provide top-tier customer service, with support from specialists and coordinators to maintain engineering excellence.

The role offers uncapped earning potential through enhanced overtime and commissions, ongoing manufacturer training, and clear career progression

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing and commissioning fire alarm and/or electronic security systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good knowledge of relevant British Standards.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong technical understanding with focus on electrical safety (ECA or equivalent desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned installation and commissioning on fire and security systems.
• Diagnose faults and deliver effective, compliant solutions.
• Provide professional technical advice and updates to customers.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

Region: Oxfordshire

On-Target Earnings: Up to £60,000 (inclusive of overtime, travel pay and bonuses)

Trinity Fire & Security is seeking an experienced Small Works Engineer to deliver high-quality installation, commissioning and technical support across a diverse portfolio of commercial clients.

You will install and commission a wide range of fire and security systems, ensuring compliance, reliability and exceptional customer service. You'll be supported by dedicated Coordinators and Technical Specialists, allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding engineering standards.

Systems You'll Work With

Fire Systems: Gent, Notifier, Advanced, Protec and other open-protocol systems.

CCTV: Hikvision, Dahua, Avigilon.

Intruder Alarms: Galaxy, Texecom.

Access Control: Paxton, Honeywell, Gallagher.

Key Responsibilities
