Job summary

McIntyre Compliance Services Ltd is recruiting a Fire service and maintenance engineer to deliver PPM servicing across various sites, repairing life safety systems and ensuring Health & Safety compliance. The role offers a flexible weekly schedule with potential overtime and out-of-hours retainer fees.

You will service, maintain, and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1) and emergency lighting, perform reports, and interact with clients to deliver exceptional service daily.

Qualifications

Experience with fire alarm systems (analogue addressable and conventional).
FIA training to BS5839-1 Fundamentals preferred.
Good IT literacy and awareness of Health & Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Service, maintain and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1) and emergency lighting in line with standards.
Complete engineer service reports accurately.
Maintain emergency lighting systems and related equipment (extinguishers, AOVs, etc.).
Conduct regular van stock checks and liaise with supervisors to replenish stocks.
Maintain Health and Safety mindset and report issues promptly.
Complete first-time fixes where possible.
