Job summary

RGB is seeking a Fire Alarm Engineer for a permanent role in North London. The engineer will handle second fix, termination, testing and full commissioning of fire alarm systems across commercial and residential sites, ensuring BS 5839-1 standards are met.

You will program devices, test circuits, diagnose faults, and complete commissioning documentation while liaising with clients and site teams. Driving license and relevant qualifications are required.

A permanent position exists for a Fire Alarm Engineer - £48K – North London, working with an NSI Gold Accredited security firm. Based in North London, the successful candidate will handle second fix, termination, testing and full commissioning of fire alarm systems across commercial and residential sites. Duties include programming devices, testing circuits and ensuring installations meet BS 5839-1 standards, alongside fault diagnosis and repair. The salary ranges from £40,000 to £48,000, with travel time paid at 60 minutes each way, optional call-out rota, 28 days holiday including bank holidays, company van or car with fuel card and private use, overtime, phone, laptop and uniform. Duties

• Diagnose and resolve technical faults, ensuring all works are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Complete relevant certification and commissioning documentation accurately upon completion of works.
• Liaise professionally with clients, site teams and internal departments, providing technical guidance where required.
• Support junior engineers where needed and uphold company standards for quality, compliance and health and safety.
