RGB is seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer to join their North London team. The role covers commercial and residential sites, handling second fix, termination, testing and full commissioning of fire alarm systems in line with BS 5839-1.

You will program devices, test circuits and contribute to certification and documentation, while liaising with clients and site teams to uphold safety and quality standards.

Reporting to an established NSI Gold Accredited security firm, the Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer £48K – N London role covers commercial and residential sites across North London. Working full time, the engineer handles second fix, termination, testing and complete commissioning of fire alarm systems.

Duties include programming devices, checking circuits and confirming every installation meets BS 5839-1. Fault diagnosis and resolution on existing panels also forms part of the job.

Applicants should hold proven experience with addressable systems, strong knowledge of relevant regulations and a full UK driving licence.

The contract offers £40,000 to £48,000 annually, paid travel up to sixty minutes each way, a van or car with fuel card and private use, plus optional call-out rotas and overtime.

Duties:

• Carry out second fix, termination, testing and full commissioning of fire alarm systems across commercial and residential sites.
• Program devices, test circuits and ensure systems are installed and commissioned in line with BS 5839-1 standards.
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults, ensuring all works are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Complete relevant certification and commissioning documentation accurately upon completion of works.
• Liaise professionally with clients, site teams and internal departments, providing technical guidance where required.
• Support junior engineers where needed and uphold company standards for quality, compliance and health and safety.
