Applicants should have proven experience in servicing emergency lighting and fire alarm systems, with strong diagnostic abilities and familiarity with industry standards. Competitive rates starting at £33 per hour and a Monday to Friday schedule with optional weekend work available.

Overview

Service & Maintenance Engineer - Emergency Lighting & Fire Alarms (Subcontract). V7 are seeking skilled Service & Maintenance Engineers to work on a large-scale public sector project in North Yorkshire. This is a long-running contract with our national client, offering consistent, ongoing work and great potential for long-term subcontract opportunities. The role involves servicing and maintaining emergency lighting systems and fire alarm systems across a range of public buildings, including housing, education facilities, and care environments.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine servicing, testing, and compliance checks on emergency lighting in line with BS 5266.
  • Service, fault-find, and repair both addressable and conventional fire alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance calls and complete remedial works where necessary.
  • Provide clear service reports and communicate findings with site contacts.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
