Job Title: Fire Alarm Engineer – Service, Small Works & Maintenance

Location: North West

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE
Additional Benefits: OTE, Pension, Laptop, Phone, Vehicle, Fuel Card, Bonus/Incentives, 20 days holiday plus BH, Christmas shutdown, progression opportunities

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join a well-established, family-run business specialising in the design, installation, service, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems. The company has been operating for 40 years and works on high-profile commercial projects including NHS sites, hotels, and notable London venues.

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and performing small works on a range of fire alarm systems across the North West, with the potential for national coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain, and complete small works on fire alarm systems
  • Work on commercial properties including hospitals, hotels, and other key sites
  • Use and maintain systems from manufacturers such as Kentec, Ctec, Advanced, Gent
  • Follow company procedures for health & safety, quality, and compliance
  • Participate in call-out rota (1 in 7 weeks)
  • Travel as required for national projects
Working Hours
  • Standard 40-hour workweek (flexible start/finish times)
  • Overtime: Time & a half after 40 hours, double time on Sundays
  • Fixed-price project work
Requirements
  • Proven experience in fire alarm service, maintenance, and small works
  • Familiarity with Kentec, Ctec, Advanced, and Gent systems
  • Ability to work on commercial sites and liaise with clients professionally
  • Willingness to travel nationally when required
