JLB Recruitment Ltd invites applications for a Fire Alarm Engineer to service and commission systems across multiple sites in the Midlands. This full-time role includes overtime, on-call duties, and a company vehicle with a fuel card.

You must have 5+ years in the fire alarm industry, with security knowledge in access control and CCTV is a plus. A clean driving licence and Enhanced DBS are essential; IT skills and health & safety training are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in the fire alarm industry.

• Able to service and commission fire alarm systems (Advanced, Notifier, Ziton).
• Willing to cover on-call rota with 24/7 support (1 in 6).
• Health & Safety trained (an advantage).
• Enhanced DBS cleared (essential).
• Clean driving licence (advantage).

Responsibilities

• Service and basic commissioning on fire alarm systems across Midlands sites.
• Attend call-outs and occasional servicing days as required.
• Carry out small works and system upgrades when needed.

Job description

Opportunity to earn in excess of £50,000 (this includes basic salary, overtime and commission)

• 22 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
• 40 Hour Working Week
• Travel Time Paid Less 15 Minutes Each Way
• Overtime Paid x 1.5 & x 2.0 (out of normal working hours and Sundays)

Role & Required Skill Set for a Fire Alarm Engineer:

• Experienced with at least 5 years or more in the fire alarm industry, security knowledge in access control, CCTV would be an advantage.
• This role is a full-time role on multiple sites generally within the Midlands area.
• Able to work alone and carryout servicing and basic commissioning on fire alarm systems such as Advanced, Notifier, Ziton etc, be confident to attend call outs and some occasional servicing day to day.
• Ability and willingness to carryout small works and system upgrades etc
• Cover the on-call rota from Friday to Friday with 24/7 support, currently 1 in 6.
• Live locally to the Midlands and be within one hour travel time from our office would be preferred but not essential.
• Enhanced security cleared.
• Confident and presentable face to face with good customer skills and professional attitude at all times.
• Willing to work occasional overtime or weekends, early starts and possible late evenings maybe required and will be paid accordingly.
• Good IT skills and confident on a computer/laptop (essential)
