• Strong Fire Alarm knowledge including installation, servicing & maintenance.

• A full UK Driving Licence is necessary.

Overview

Fire Alarm Engineer – Hertfordshire (Minimal London Travel)

£38,000 - £45,000 + Overtime + On-Call + Van. Mon-Fri | 40 Hours | Flexible Start (6am-6pm). Van & Fuel Card (Personal Use Included).

Join a growing team with a brand-new fire alarm division. We are working with a well-established firm (65 engineers strong across the South East) that has recently won a major contract covering pubs, restaurants, and hospitality venues. With an expanding workload and long-term contracts, this is a fantastic time to join as a Fire Alarm Engineer with potential to move into a Lead or Supervisor role as the division grows.

What you’ll need

• Strong Fire Alarm knowledge - installation, servicing & maintenance
• Experience with a range of fire alarm systems (e.g. Gent, Apollo, Morley, Advanced, Notifier etc.)
• Solid electrical background with 18th Edition certification
• Full UK Driving Licence

What’s on offer

• £38,000 - £45,000 basic salary (DOE)
• 1 in 12 on-call rota (moving to 1 in 16) — £100 standby; 4 hours minimum call-out pay; door-to-door pay when on call
• Flexible working hours – work anytime between 6am-6pm
• Paid travel after first 30 minutes
• Van + fuel card (personal use allowed - first 10 miles free/day)
• Overtime opportunities - loads available with new contracts
• Holiday: 20 days + Bank Holidays, increases by 1 day per year up to 28 days + BH
