Job Description

Fire Alarm Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE, with potential earnings up to £55,000 + company van

Location: Kent / South London

About the Role

Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated professional with over 3 years of experience, ideally Gent trained, to handle servicing, fault-finding, and small works in Kent and South/South West London. The primary focus is on fire detection servicing and reactive work, with additional experience in security, access control, and CCTV systems being advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Service and fault-finding on conventional, addressable, and wireless fire alarm systems
  2. Work with major brands of panels such as Gent or Vesda and other app-based systems
  3. Handle security alarms, access control/door entry systems, and IP & analogue CCTV systems
  4. Dual Com monitoring and other communication devices
  5. Maintenance of emergency lighting
  6. Adherence to NSI codes of practice and current industry standards (EN50131, PD6662, DD243, BS4737, BS8243)
About You
  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service and Faults Engineer
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and good at time management
  • Strong work record
  • Full UK driving license

Working Hours

Standard hours: 8.30am-5.00pm, Monday - Friday

On-call rotation: 1 in 6 weeks (additional paid overtime for on-call hours)

The role involves working with ladders at height and can be physically demanding. Flexibility to travel to various sites across the area is required.
