Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is hiring a Fire Alarm Engineer for a field-based role covering Kent with no London travel. You will service, install and maintain conventional and addressable fire alarm systems on commercial, industrial and residential sites.

Join an established fire protection company offering a 30,000–35,000 basic salary, door-to-door travel, overtime, on-call payments, a company vehicle and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in servicing and installing fire alarm systems.
• Good fault finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Understanding BS5839 standards.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and install conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive call outs.
• Fault finding and diagnosing system issues.
• Small works, remedial repairs and additional device installations.
• Commissioning of fire alarm systems where required.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and service documentation.
• Provide a professional service while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
• Participate in the on call rota.

I'm currently working with a well established fire protection company that has built a strong reputation for delivering high quality fire alarm solutions across Kent. With a loyal customer base and a growing portfolio of commercial and residential contracts, they're looking to expand their engineering team due to continued growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer looking for a local role with no London travel, covering Kent only.

The Role

This is a varied role combining both service and installation work on conventional and addressable fire alarm systems across a range of commercial, industrial and residential sites.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and install conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.


• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive call outs.


• Fault finding and diagnosing system issues.


• Small works, remedial repairs and additional device installations.


• Commissioning of fire alarm systems where required.


• Complete all relevant paperwork and service documentation.


• Provide a professional service while maintaining excellent customer relationships.


• Participate in the on call rota.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer.


• Strong knowledge of servicing and installing fire alarm systems.


• Experience with manufacturers such as Kentec, Advanced, Morley, C TEC, Notifier, Gent or similar.


• Good fault finding and diagnostic skills.


• Understanding of BS5839.


• Full UK Driving Licence.
