Overview

With over 25 years of experience, our client is a well-established fire protection specialist covering London and Essex. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their engineering team and seeking skilled Fire Alarm Engineers. Working across the commercial and public sectors, they provide full-service solutions including the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire detection systems, AOV systems, dampers, and extinguishers. Known for their down-to-earth, supportive environment, this is a business where engineers are genuinely valued and well looked after.

• Basic salary £38,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)

• Call-out rota 1 in 11 weeks
• Standby allowance £150 per week + enhanced overtime rates

Role 1 - Service & Faults Engineer

• Servicing, testing, and fault-finding of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
• Carrying out remedial works across a variety of systems
• Participation in the call-out rota (1 in 12 weeks)
• Covering sites across Essex and East London (including NHS, hotels, industrial, warehousing, offices, schools, and private residential)

Role 2 - Installation & Commissioning Engineer

• Small works and installation of fire alarm systems
• Commissioning of new systems and remedial upgrades
• Conducting testing to ensure compliance and quality standards are met
• Working across a varied client base including commercial, healthcare, education, and residential sites in Essex and East London
