Job summary

Total Integrated Solutions (TIS) Ltd is seeking a Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer in the Oxfordshire/Bedfordshire area. You will commission Fire Alarm/Detection systems, ensuring adherence to BS standards and project timelines, while supporting the team on site and with documentation.

The role requires hands-on experience with addressable and non-addressable systems, Gent products, and a strong safety mindset. Travel to client locations and a proactive problem solver attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• BS5839, BS7273, BS6266 knowledge.
• FIA Level 3 Advanced Commissioning Engineer.
• RRFSO and Building Regulation/Approved Documents knowledge.
• Experience commissioning Fire Alarm/Detection Systems.
• Experience on addressable, non-addressable and Part 6 systems.
• Experience with Gent products.
• Experience on large networked systems.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to British Standards.
• Knowledge of fire system cause and effect.
• Experience with Warden Call, Nurse Call, Door Entry and Access Control is advantageous.
• ECS Card held.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of small and large Fire Alarm/Detection Systems including networking.
• Ensure systems are installed to the correct standards.
• Assist project team to complete within time frame and budget.
• Add additional devices to the systems.
• Assist in commissioning other systems when requested.
• Complete commissioning tasks efficiently and within timescales.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Standards and Regulations.
• Travel to client locations within designated area.
• Attend service/maintenance sites when commissioning work isn’t available.
• Ensure client satisfaction prior to leaving site.
• Accurate completion of documentation.
