Job summary

Platform Recruitment are working with a specialist precision engineering business in Weybridge to recruit an experienced CNC Finishing Technician for their Machine Shop. You will be hands-on, pride yourself on high-quality finishes and work on precision components.

The role requires deburring, finishing to tight tolerances, and preparing parts for anodising, coating and plating. Experience with copper, aluminium, stainless steel and aerospace alloys is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Deburr Operator, Precision Finishing Technician or similar.
• Strong experience in high-end cosmetic and functional finishing.
• Experience with materials such as copper, aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and aerospace-grade alloys.
• Knowledge of rumbling/vibratory finishing processes.
• Ability to work to tight tolerances without affecting critical dimensions.

CNC Finishing Technician - Weybridge - £27k-£32

I'm working with a specialist precision engineering business that is looking for an experienced CNC Finishing Technician to join their Machine Shop team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong hands‑on finishing experience who takes real pride in producing high‑quality, precision components.

The role:

• Hand deburring and precision finishing of CNC-machined components.


• Removing burrs, sharp edges and machining marks to both cosmetic and functional standards.


• Finishing tight-tolerance, high-value and customer-critical components.


• Operating rumbling/vibratory finishing equipment where required.


• Using a range of hand and powered tools including files, stones, scrapers, emery, Scotch-Brite, pencil and die grinders.


• Preparing components for anodising, coating, plating and assembly.

Minimum role requirements:

• Proven experience as a Deburr Operator, Precision Finishing Technician or similar.


• Strong experience in high-end cosmetic and functional finishing.


• Experience working with materials such as copper, aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and aerospace-grade alloys.


• Knowledge of rumbling/vibratory finishing processes.


• Ability to work to tight tolerances without affecting critical dimensions.
