Job summary

Breath HR is seeking a Finishing Team Leader to organise and support our packing team, ensuring every frozen and hot order is packed accurately and dispatched on time.

Lead the finishing team daily, allocate tasks, oversee labeling and traceability, and ensure compliance with food safety and HACCP requirements while collaborating with bakery, production and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising a team, ideally in food production or a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Able to organise, plan and monitor daily packing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Organising and leading the finishing team day to day, allocating tasks to meet daily packing schedules and production targets.
• Ensuring frozen and hot orders are packed accurately with correct product types, quantities and labelling.
• Ensuring every product meets quality and portioning standards before dispatch.
• Overseeing food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures; completing HACCP checks and traceability sheets.
• Maintaining accurate product traceability; ensuring batches are labelled and recorded.
• Coordinating with bakery, production and delivery teams so orders are ready on time and drivers can depart on schedule.
• Preparing pre-labelled boxes and upcoming packing schedules.
• Training new team members and supporting ongoing development.
• Monitoring performance; providing feedback and addressing timekeeping/attendance issues.
• Keeping work areas clean, organised and compliant with hygiene standards.
• Identifying and reporting faults or quality concerns and taking prompt action.
• Leading by example and assisting with packing when needed; seeking ways to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Love working in a hands-on role and leading a team? We're looking for a Finishing Team Leader to organise and support our packing team, making sure every frozen and hot order is packed accurately, meets our quality and food safety standards, and goes out on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Organising and leading the finishing team day to day, allocating tasks to meet daily packing schedules and production targets.
• Making sure all frozen and hot orders are packed accurately, with the correct product types, quantities and labelling
• Making sure every product meets quality and portioning standards before dispatch.
• Overseeing food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures, and making sure all HACCP checks and traceability check sheets are fully completed.
• Maintaining accurate product traceability, making sure all batches are correctly labelled and recorded.
• Working closely with the bakery, production and delivery teams so orders are ready on time and drivers can leave on schedule.
• Organising pre-labelled boxes and preparing for upcoming packing schedules.
• Training new team members and supporting the ongoing development of the team.
• Monitoring team performance, giving feedback and dealing with day-to-day issues such as timekeeping and attendance.
• Making sure work areas are kept clean, organised and compliant with hygiene standards.
• Identifying and reporting faults, issues or quality concerns, and taking action to resolve them promptly.
• Leading by example and getting hands‑on with packing when needed, while looking for ways to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
