The successful candidate must have proven experience, excellent attention to detail, and strong knowledge of finishing trades. You will supervise on-site work, ensure compliance with quality standards, and maintain smooth workflow. This is a freelance position starting ASAP.

Job Title: Finishing Foreman - New Build Timber Frame Housing

Linsco are currently seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman to join a leading residential contractor on a new build timber frame housing development. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the final stages of construction, ensuring high-quality finishes and delivering homes to the expected standard, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and work with all finishing trades on-site (e.g. carpentry, painting, flooring, snagging, etc.)
• Use your own tools to complete snags to ensure the handover of plots
• Ensure all work is completed to specification and in line with quality standards
• Liaise with the Site Manager, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
• Report on progress, issues, and timelines to the project team

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman on new build housing developments
• Previous work with timber frame construction highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of finishing trades and quality standards
• Excellent eye for detail and commitment to delivering a quality product
• Good communication and coordination skills
• SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred
• Own tools and transport
