Are you a highly skilled and meticulous finisher with excellent people skills? Were seeking a dedicated professional to join our team on an ongoing basis at a thriving new build housing site in Howden. This is a crucial role where your craftsmanship brings homes to perfection, and your approachable nature ensures customer satisfaction during the final stages.

About The Role

As a finisher on our new build development, youll be the vital link between construction completion and happy homeowners. Your role extends beyond just fixing snags; youll also represent our commitment to quality and service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Comprehensive Snagging and Remedial Works: Meticulously identifying and rectifying imperfections across various trades (e.g., minor joinery, painting touch:ups, plaster patching, mastic work) to an impeccable standard.
  • Customer Facing Duties: Engaging professionally and courteously with new homeowners during snagging inspections, addressing their concerns, explaining resolutions, and ensuring a positive handover experience.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring all finished work meets the highest standards of quality and presentation before property handover.
  • Efficient Work Management: Working cleanly and efficiently, managing your own workload to meet handover deadlines.
  • Communication: Providing clear and concise updates to site management and customer service teams regarding progress and any issues.
  • Health and Safety: Adhering strictly to all site health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Proven and Highly Experienced: A background as a Finisher, ideally within the new build housing sector.
  • Valid CSCS card holder.
  • Multi:Skilled: Possesses a versatile skill set across multiple trades, enabling effective snagging.
  • Detail:Oriented: Has an exceptional eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to delivering a flawless finish.
  • Customer Focused: Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging positively and empathetically with customers.
  • Reliable and Proactive: Punctual, highly motivated, and able to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Problem Solver: Takes a right first time approach to snagging and repairs.
  • Tools and Transport: Own tools and transport would be highly beneficial.
