Job description

This role offers an opportunity to manage and support a portfolio of US domiciled, US listed, and prospective clients, with accountability for retention, new business development, client strategy, and placement. You will develop client relationships, collaborate across Willis Towers Watson to provide industry-leading solutions, and engage with underwriters to achieve optimal outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience in client service and, preferably, in placing Directors & Officers Liability insurance across various industries and sectors.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Understand clients’ business and risk management needs; deliver solutions through ongoing service.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients proactively.
  • Develop account strategies in line with BU processes.
  • Leverage expertise from specialist technical teams within the BU and Group.
  • Support senior colleagues in determining solutions, structuring, pricing, and placement strategies.
  • Lead and support individual client programs as appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the existing portfolio.

Broking:

  • Support sales processes to win, retain, and develop profitable clients, focusing on US clients.
  • Understand client businesses, issues, and opportunities.
  • Manage relationships and negotiate placements with the insurance market.
  • Prepare client presentations considering profitability.
  • Collaborate on solutions, structuring, and pricing.
  • Identify markets and placement strategies.
  • Build relationships with underwriters in London and internationally.
  • Ensure compliance with Willis Towers Watson guidelines.

Placement Management:

  • Develop service plans with senior colleagues.
  • Apply and explain BU policies, manage contract processing per FCA requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality ongoing client service.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and revenue tracking.
  • Communicate effectively to maximize service delivery.
  • Manage KPIs/SLAs to meet targets.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Share knowledge to promote collaboration and development.
  • Adhere to company policies and promote a respectful environment.
  • Support risk management within the BU.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain relevant professional qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: Knowledge of Directors & Officers insurance.
  • Preferably ACII qualified, working towards or interested in completing the qualification.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven high-level client service experience.
  • Supportive of account development using appropriate tools.
  • Experience in pricing and designing programmes.
  • Adherence to processes and systems supporting client service.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to process large information volumes quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and web applications.
  • Commitment to integrity, FCA compliance, and representing WTW credibly.
