Job description

Our client, an innovative Fine Art Shipping Company, is currently seeking a Fine Art Warehouse Packer to join their growing team based in Berkshire.

The role of the Fine Art Warehouse Packer involves safely and skillfully packing and crating artworks of various sizes and mediums using appropriate materials and techniques to ensure their protection during transit.

Main responsibilities of the role:

1. Inspect artworks to determine how, where, when, or if to touch them and how to pack for transport.
2. Liaise with team members such as warehouse operators, art handlers, and logistics staff to ensure efficient workflow and on-time deliveries.
3. Handle paperwork such as bills of lading, labeling, timesheets, and detailed condition reports with photos.
4. Maintain accurate records of packed artworks, ensuring proper labeling and documentation to track their movement within the warehouse.
5. Keep the warehouse clean and organized to help ensure the safety of stored artworks.

The successful Fine Art Warehouse Packer will preferably have previous experience in art handling, fine art packaging, or related fields.

Knowledge of art packing materials, techniques, and best practices is essential.

We are interested in candidates who have worked in Fine Art or Removals and have warehouse experience.

Skills & experience required:

• MUST HAVE previous experience within Fine Art / Removals.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of art and an appreciation for its value is an advantage.
