Job description

Our client, a specialist Fine Art & Antiques Shipping Company based in South London, is seeking to appoint an experienced Fine Art Packer.

As the Fine Art Packer, you will handle and pack various types of fine art and secure them in trucks for safe transport.

You will also prepare condition reports, photograph artworks, and pick up/deliver a variety of artworks including paintings, sculptures, and high-value furniture.

Duties of the Fine Art Packer:

• Installation and de-installation of fine art and furniture
• Inspecting artworks to determine packing and handling methods for transport
• Installing artworks professionally in settings ranging from corporate to residential properties
• Interacting with art professionals and collectors
• Handling paperwork such as bills of lading, labeling, timesheets, and detailed condition reports with photos

The ideal candidate will have over 1 year of experience in moving or fine art, be familiar with basic art terminology, and be able to efficiently wrap, pack, load, span, and tie artworks within a truck to ensure safety during transport.

We are keen to speak with highly motivated candidates who have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as you will be communicating with the operations team throughout the day.

Experience required:

• Be physically fit and able to work on ladders, scaffolding, or mechanized lifts
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
