Overview

Are you a reliable and professional Class 2 HGV Driver looking for your next opportunity? We're seeking motivated individuals to join our dynamic transport team and play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly.

Staffline is recruiting for HGV Class 2 Driver in Warrington.

The pay rate is £15.00 per hour.

This is a full time role working rotating 4 on 4 off or 2 on 2 off shift patterns, starting times between 2am and 10am.

Responsibilities

• Multi-Drop Deliveries: Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle to complete scheduled multi-drop deliveries across the region. You\'ll be delivering goods to commercial and residential clients, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs.
• Vehicle Checks & Compliance: Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure all paperwork is completed in line with DVSA regulations. You\'ll be responsible for reporting defects and maintaining high safety standards.
• Customer Interaction & Documentation: Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, obtain signatures, and manage delivery notes and manifests. You\'ll be the face of the company on the road, so professionalism is key
• Manual Handling: Drivers may be required to load and unload goods, which can involve lifting, carrying, and moving items of varying weights\u2013 often up to 20kg. Proper training and equipment are provided to ensure safety.
• Long Periods of Driving: You\'ll need to be comfortable sitting for extended periods while maintaining focus and alertness during long-distance or multi-stop routes.
• Climbing In and Out of Vehicles: Regular entry and exit from the cab and rear of the vehicle is required, sometimes multiple times per shift.
• Outdoor Work in All Conditions: Deliveries and collections may take place in all weather conditions, so a level of physical resilience and adaptability is essential.
