Name of Role: VP Finance, Commercial - Mid-Market Growth Equity Fund

Location: London (in-person)

Ref: MS13724

Finatal is partnered with an internationally focused growth equity firm that is looking to appoint a VP of Commercial Finance to lead and scale its internal finance infrastructure. This is a hands-on role within a lean, high-performance team, ideal for an ambitious and process-oriented candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and oversee a digital-first finance function, including bookkeeping, payroll, tax, cash management and reporting across UK and US entities
  • Implement monthly close and audit-ready financial controls
  • Design and deliver financial reporting to support capital allocation, cost control, and planning
  • Own budgeting, forecasting and FCA capital monitoring processes
  • Optimise intercompany funding, expense attribution, vendor spend and liquidity
  • Manage junior finance staff and external partners

Candidate Requirements:

  • 4-6 years’ experience across investment banking, PE/VC, or high-growth technology
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent)
  • Strong academic background
  • Demonstrated ability to build processes, lead small teams, and drive results in lean environments
  • Confident working with data and modern cloud/AI-based tools
