Overview

Strategic Finance Analyst (Fully qualified) – Manchester (Hybrid - minimum 1 day/week in office) – Permanent 50,000-55,000 + Bonus + Benefits. The successful candidate must be based within 45 minutes of Manchester.

We're working with a leading organisation in Manchester to recruit a Strategic Finance Analyst who will play a key role in driving financial insight and supporting business-critical decisions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded analyst with strong modelling skills and a proactive approach to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain financial models to support business performance and new commercial opportunities.
  • Deliver deep-dive financial analysis to generate actionable insights.
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyse variances between actual and forecast results, identifying key drivers.
  • Prepare strategic reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
  • Produce the monthly business review pack with accurate data and commentary.
  • Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to evaluate performance and guide decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity through strong financial controls and validation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency.
Candidate Profile
  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including modelling, pivot tables, and data visualisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into business insight.
  • Confident communicator, able to present complex information clearly.
  • Experience in fleet services, energy, or financial services (desirable).
  • Familiarity with ERP/financial systems such as Oracle, Business Objects, or Peoplesoft (advantageous).
