BDO UK LLP in London is seeking a Manager for the Financial Services Controls Optimisation team to lead day-to-day client engagements and deliver high-quality control solutions. You will manage relationships, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and help strengthen control frameworks including SOX/ICFR programmes.

The role emphasizes advisory delivery across controls transformation and remediation, with agile working and opportunities for professional growth within a leading UK firm.

Competenze

• Strong experience of internal controls gained within professional services, financial services or another relevant environment.
• Experience delivering controls advisory, transformation, implementation, remediation or assurance work and a good understanding of risk and control principles.
• Ideally experience in at least one of; controls transformation and optimisation, Internal control framework design and implementation, SOX and ICFR implementation, remediation or testing, risk and control assessments, control rationalisation and optimisation, financial, operational and compliance controls, Internal audit or controls assurance, regulatory remediation programmes or controls effectiveness assessments
• Experience of managing people/projects or substantial workstreams and coordinating delivery teams.
• Good commercial judgement including an understanding of engagement economics and project management. Coupled with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• A relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, MIIA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification would be beneficial.
