Job summary

BDO UK LLP in London is seeking a Manager in Financial Services Outsourcing to own client relationships and deliver outsourcing and advisory services. You will review accounts under UK GAAP and IFRS, advising on performance, forecasting and regulatory changes.

You’ll combine technical accounting expertise with commercial thinking, using Xero to streamline processes and develop junior staff while coordinating with internal specialists.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification required.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and FRS 102.
• Experience with month-end and year-end processes.
• Experience in outsourcing and monthly bookkeeping.
• Ability to research and apply technical accounting guidance.
• Understanding of risk management in an accounting firm.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Overview

We support a diverse portfolio of Financial Services clients, delivering high-quality outsourcing and advisory solutions. As a Manager, you’ll take ownership of client relationships and project delivery, providing timely financial insights, reviewing accounts under UK GAAP and IFRS, and advising on performance, forecasting, and regulatory changes.

You’ll combine strong technical expertise with commercial thinking, using tools like Xero to streamline processes and add value. Alongside managing projects to deadline and budget, you’ll develop junior team members, collaborate with internal specialists, and ensure all work meets the firm’s quality and risk standards.

You’ll be someone with

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Strong working knowledge of FRS 102
• A solid understanding of business controls, including month-end and year-end processes
• Proven experience in outsourcing and monthly bookkeeping
• The ability to research and apply technical accounting guidance effectively
• An understanding of risk management processes within an accounting firm
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
