Prudential Risk Manager - £70,000-£80,000 - Retail Banking

My client is a leading retail bank based in London, seeking a Financial Risk Manager to work across their enterprise risk function. The role involves managing aspects of market, credit, liquidity, and operational risk, playing a key part in rolling out their ERM framework.

The position offers flexibility to work remotely, with travel to the office 2-3 times a week required.

Following recent board approval of their Enterprise Risk Framework, they are expanding their enterprise risk team. Joining at this stage presents exciting challenges and opportunities, including building key relationships and gaining exposure within a Challenger Bank that has been growing steadily.

I am interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:

1. Experience transitioning from a first-line treasury role to second-line risk, or experienced financial risk professionals.
2. Exposure to credit, liquidity, and operational risk frameworks, including ICAAP and ILAAP reporting.
3. Ability to build relationships across business areas to ensure policy embedding.
4. Experience in delivering sign-off on policies across the bank.
5. Capacity to work from the top down, collaborating closely with the C-Suite and business users to implement policies.
6. Ability to challenge users to ensure policy adherence.
7. Experience representing ERM at monthly committee meetings.
8. Experience working with the PRA.
